Let’s continue our discussion about blogger mistakes. For all of you who just read this topic, you could go to our last section first.
- Rarely updating the blog post
I think it is clear that if you rarely updating the blog post, you will loose some of your blog reader. Ideally, we have update it every single day. But we’re human right? Sometimes we get sick or having vacation. Well, just try to update it constantly.
- Only contains your personal love story
If you want to write a blog as a diary that can be accessed anywhere, it’s no problem. But if you write a blog to be read by people, this becomes a problem. Your blog will not be visited by people if it only contains your personal love story (except by your lover or your secret admirer). But there is an exception. Some bloggers think that it won’t be a problem if you’re a superstar or very famous person/blogger. People still will be interested in visiting your blog. But, Hey! I have an idea. Why don’t we make another blog for that?
- Topics that are too broad
Visitors who visit your blog loyally, are interested in certain topics. For example, on this blog I focus on the topics of SEO, Blogging Tips and Gadget updates.
- Filling the blog with topics that deviate
Try to stay focus on your topics. So readers will know exactly where they are.
Well, see you again on the next section!

Yes, it does help if you keep your blog specific to one subject. Google likes relevance and categorization. And readers do too.
However, there are some eclectic blogs that do very well in terms of traffic. They aren’t great for making money though, since people come looking for all kinds of things and the traffic is not targeted.
