Blogger Mistakes Related to the Content

Last time we talked about Blogger mistakes related to the Topics. Now, we’ll talk about blogger mistakes related to the content. And here they are:

  • Useless Content

Well, just try to always create contents that useful for the others. People will come visiting our blog again if our blog fulfilled with useful content. I am sure that you’re all already known about it ;)

  • Mistaken Spelling or Grammar

It’s happens when we’re in hurry. I admit it. Sometimes I write Than instead of Then. What about you? Have you ever made that kind of mistake? For some readers it is very important. They’ll judge the blogger by reading the post’s spelling and grammar.

  • Copy-Paste

We talk about this thing all the time. Don’t ever get sick hearing these two words. Doing Copy-Paste is is unethical and violates copyright.  I wouldn’t talk about it more. ‘Cause we’ve heard about it quite much, haven’t we?

  • Without Reference

It’s still related to the Copy-Paste thing. If your article discusses the difficult topic, you should mention your writing references or sources. Especially if you actually quoting another article, you should mention the reference.

  • Arrogant

Writing a blog does not mean you know better than readers. A good blog writer, always modest, but not humbled. If you encounter a blog writer with a style that is arrogant, I guess you would certainly lazy to read it.

  • Too Humbled Themselves or Less Confident

People who read our blog, will respect us if we write with confidence. When we’re writing about facts or real event, avoid the “maybe” or “if I don’t mistaken” words. We also do not need to write these words, “I apologize if the content of my blog is not great enough”. Visitors will think our blog is not professional and not written by an expert in their field.

  • Posts Only Containing Image

Post which was just a picture, not Search Engine Friendly, because search engines can only index the text. We suggest you write an article on the blog contain at least 500 words.

  • Posts that are Too Short or Too Long

Posts that are too short not liked by search engines, this resulted in your blog is on a lower priority when people type in keywords in google or yahoo. Instead, posts that are too long cause your pages are not fully indexed by search engines. For a long article, you can create a continued article.

  • Without Categories, Without Tags, or Too Many Categories and Tags

It is also happens when we’re in hurry and we forgot to add the categories or tags. Tags and categories are useful as incoming links, or as keywords. Too many tags or categories are also dangerous because it can be considered as a massive domain interlinking  and decrease your blog’s ranking.

  • Too Many Ads

Blog or website that has too many ads, causing visitors to feel annoyed, because a visitor opens your website or blog is to find information, not to read some ads. Especially if there is a pop-up window that appears. Unless you create a special blog for advertising or product offering.

  • Contains Hoaxes or Fake News

Before you write an information, make sure you have checked the truth of the information. Do not let your self to post hoaxes news or information that obtained from chain letters and an unsubstantiated claims  information.

  • Using Images with File Sizes that Are Too Large

Using too large image would make your blog become so heavy to be loaded. And visitors will not like this kind of situation.

  • Informing Cracks or Keygen

You should not post an article that contains crack, serial, or keygen of a software. This is against the law and you could be prosecuted in court by the software maker.

  • Installs a Virus

First time hear about it? I’ve found a blog that installs a virus when it opened. There is also a blog whose contents program that looks like it is useful, but in fact it is a virus. Always use antivirus and update it regularly.
